The road to the 2026 Alberta Summer Games begins next month as U15 Co-Ed athletes from SALA prepare for their official tryouts on April 26 at the
JBS Canada Centre (Sparrow Arena) in Brooks.
Session 1: 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM
Session 2: 2:30 PM - 3:30 PM
In a commitment to fairness and transparency, all athletes will be evaluated by representatives from the Silvertips Junior B Tier 1 franchise, ensuring an impartial selection process rooted in competitive standards and player development expertise.
Alongside the tryout details, the program has an impressive coaching roster that blends high-performance experience with strong Alberta roots:
Head Coach: Gord Henry - A respected leader from the National Sports Academy, Henry brings a wealth of technical knowledge and a proven track record of developing elite young athletes.
Assistant Coach: Garrett Harris - A proud Drillers alumnus, Harris adds energy, modern coaching insight, and firsthand experience in the region’s competitive lacrosse pathway.
Assistant Coach: Adam Kennedy - A dual alumnus of the Cudas and Junior A Mounties, Kelly contributes a deep understanding of the game and a passion for mentoring emerging talent.
Organizers say the combination of impartial evaluations and a highly qualified coaching staff sets the stage for a strong, competitive team representing the region at this summer’s provincialshowcase.
