Division Coordinators

Southern Alberta Lacrosse Association

The 2024 season is now concluded.  Email if you require assistance.

Duties and Responsibilities

Southern Alberta Lacrosse Association will appoint Division Coordinators (DC) for each of the five age divisions - U9, U11, U13, U15 and U17. These are volunteer positions, and there is no remuneration or expense reimbursement allocated to the positions. The primary role of each DC is to be the main point of contact for the assigned division and to deal with all matters pertaining to scheduling issues, inputting game results into RAMP, playoffs, and discipline within the division. Divisional coordinators will report directly to the SALA Executive, and routine communication regarding scheduling and other administrative issues should be directed to the SALA President or designate. The specific duties and responsibilities are:

  • Prior to the commencement of the season, the coordinators shall meet with the SALA President either in person or via telephone to discuss the roles and responsibilities.
  • The SALA Secretary will provide the coordinator with a list of teams including the team names and the contact information for the coaches and managers.
  • The coordinator shall arrange with the managers some method of obtaining the game sheets in a timely manner, and shall gather and review all game sheets on a weekly basis. Photographs, PDF’s, e-mail and text are all acceptable as long as the image of the game sheet is complete and legible.
  • When reviewing game sheets, the coordinator shall identify penalties that may necessitate suspensions or other disciplinary action, and shall consult with the OIC and or the SALA VP when warranted.
  • Each coordinator will be given a username and password to enter game results to the SALA website. Weekly results must be entered to the website as soon as possible and no later than noon each Monday.
  • Throughout the season the coordinator shall deal with problems, questions or concerns within the division and shall be the focal point for communication within the division.
  • The coordinator will track games played by affiliate players and ensure all game sheet stickers are recorded properly.  Failure to properly disclose information such as OA or UA players or game sheet stickers containing coaches or players who are not properly rostered and without necessary credentials may lead to fines or suspensions.
  • During the play-ff tournament the coordinator will record results and inform teams of their game times and locations.
